Back to reality. Working in an office (with barely working air-con) from 8 til 4. Thankfully living in a city like Sydney, there are lots of diversions. I love living by the water, especially in Summer.
I’ve been trawling through my photos looking for something to post to celebrate the Chinese New Year, Year of the Dragon, in suitable style. Instead I found this completely culturally inappropriate street art of Godzilla. Now as far as I know, he is neither Chinese nor a dragon, but I do find him awesome so maybe we can let it slide.
I found him just off Broadway, heading into Chippendale and just had to take him home with me.
Here’s hoping that the Year of the Dragon treats you well my friends!
I’m on the Coast right now, loving on friends I haven’t seen in far too long and making some new ones but there is a part of me that can’t quite adjust. I miss old Sydney town.
If a girl walks alone in a field, does it mean she is lonely?
I can’t decide. While waiting to enter the camping ground on the first day I unexpectedly found a yellow parasol in my viewfinder, so obviously I cropped what was meant to be a picture of a local mountain with adjoining fields to focus upon our brave little explorer.
Do we prefer umbrellas or parasols? More decisions, curses.
It was the Summer of twenty twelve. Regret is a funny thing, but it reminds us to smile more. Next time, I’ll be better. Kinder. Smarter. Next time I’ll say yes, not maybe. Next time, I’ll adjust the shutter properly.

Buffy Sainte-Marie, performing as part of The Dreaming (a wonderful festival flooded out earlier in the year) at the Woodford Folk Festival, 2011-2012.
A singer-songwriter, composer and social activist Ms Sainte-Marie, a Canadian Cree woman was born in 1941 on the Piapot Cree Indian Reserve in Saskatchewan, Canada. This is a woman filled with fire, passion and energy who is still touring to this day.
